Ideal Fit for Extended Use
Most surgical masks are rather uncomfortable and simply cannot be worn during extended use. Moreover, they don’t always offer the breathability that is needed in healthcare settings. The 3M 1870+ changes all that, and brings to the market the perfect solution – a mask that easily fits a wide range of face shapes and sizes allowing for increased comfortability when wearing for extended periods.
Fluid Resistant
This is one of the most distinctive features of this mask. The 3M 1870+ respirator offers the highest level of fluid resistance according to ASTM F1862 at 160 mm Hg.
Breathable Experience like None Other
The 3M 1870+ respirator features a smooth inner cover web that helps provide comfortable and reliable respiratory protection for the user. All these features combined, make the 3M 1870+ perfectly suited for hot and/or dusty work settings that require long periods of wear.
3M Aura 1870+ FAQs
Are 1870 and 1870+ the same?
Yes. The 1870+ Aura respirator is considered a new model of the 1870 respirator. While they both look similar and have more or less the same features, the difference in the name is a result of the OSHA requirement, which required the manufacturer to conduct annual fit testing. This requirement applies to situations of mandatory use of tight-fitting facepiece respirators. Post the annual testing, the 1870 respirator was renamed the 1870+ respirator.
What is the difference between N95 and surgical N95?
Both surgical N95 and generic N95 masks are similar in appearance, and play a similar role in protecting the wearer from airborne biological particles such as viruses and bacteria when properly selected and worn. That said, there is a key difference between the two, and that is the surgical N95 mask is resistant to fluid splash!
How can you tell if a 3M N95 mask is real?
Every genuine 3M product comes with a signature green checkmark. In case the checkmark is of a different color or hue, the product may be counterfeit.
