The pouch is attached securely to the baseplate by a mechanical coupling system. An audible ‘click’ confirms that the pouch is locked securely to the baseplate.
Before the pouch is locked into position, it can be rotated into the desired position, without the pouch having to be removed from the baseplate.
The pouch can be removed separately from the SenSura double-layer baseplate, allowing the pouch to be changed more frequently than the adhesive baseplate.
Convex Light, for stomas that are difficult to manage
SenSura baseplates are available in Convex Light. The oval shape of the Convex Light baseplate is designed to help a stoma that is difficult to manage, for example, a stoma that is flush, retracted, or located in a skin fold. It applies light and directed pressure on the peristomal skin to reduce the risk of leakage by allowing the stoma to protrude. A two-piece, drainable pouching system with an integrated soft tap at the bottom of the pouch, which allows it to be connected to a Hollister High Output collection bag without the use of an adapter. These pouches are most suitable for colostomies or ileostomies with high volume and/or liquid output. New Image™ pouches have an integrated coupling system; the audible clicks indicate the system is locked in position. The pouch can be connected to flat, soft convex or convex New Image™ skin barriers. The AF300™ filter allows for slow release and deodorization of gas from the pouch. Soft, beige ComfortWear™ pouch panels help provide comfort and discretion.

With SenSura Mio 1-piece drainable, the elastic adhesive is permanently fixed to the pouch. The whole system is removed and replaced to change the pouch.
Mio 1-piece drainable is available in a broad range of flat baseplates consisting of various pre-cut or cut-to-fit sizes, and with transparent or neutral grey pouches in a variety of sizes, or even with an inspection window.
