Indications:
Mepilex lite dressings are intended for low or no-exuding wounds such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure sores, 2nd-degree burns, radiation-induced lesions, and epidermolysis bullosa. Mepilex Lite also serves as a
protective dressing for weakened skin. Mepilex Lite can be used under compression or with hydrogels.
Mepilex Lite is a thin, conformable dressing that absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound environment.
The Safetac layer closes the edges of the wound, preventing the leakage of exudates onto the peri-wound skin, which reduces the risk of maceration. The Safetac layer also allows for the atraumatic removal of the dressing. Mepilex Lite can be cut to adapt in particular to wounds that are difficult to dress.
Dosage:
Gently cleanse the wound; dry the skin around the wound. Choose a dressing large enough to extend beyond the wound by 2cm.
Remove part of the release film and place Mepilex Lite next to the wound. Do not stretch. Remove the rest of the film and gently smooth over the wound.
Secure the dressing with Mepitac silicone tape or cover it with a non-adhesive bandage such as Tubifast.
