Mepilex Border Ag dressing is indicated for the management of exuding wounds such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, traumatic and surgical wounds, superficial and partial thickness burns. Mepilex Border Ag can also be used under compression bandaging. Silver sulfate present in the dressing helps reduce microbial colonization of it. Mepilex Border Ag is a soft silicone foam dressing that absorbs exudate, maintains a moist wound healing environment and has antimicrobial properties. Mepilex Border Ag has been shown to inactivate wound-related pathogens up to 7 days in vitro. Mepilex Border Ag consists of a Safetac® soft silicone wound contact layer, an absorbent polyurethane foam pad containing silver sulfate and colored by activated carbon, a layer with super-absorbent polyacrylate fibers, and a non-woven, breathable, waterproof film. Safetac® is a proprietary adhesive technology developed by Mölnlycke that minimizes pain to patients and trauma to intact skin or wounds.

BREATHABLE TAPE - Surgical Tape is a general-purpose adhesive tape best used for wound dressing and overall wound care. This bandage/dressing tape is made of a highly breathable material that protects skin integrity, especially during prolonged wound care. The Dale NG Tube Holder is simple to apply, and can be worn up to three days on most patients. The product is not made with any natural rubber. The adhesive is skin friendly, yet securely holds a variety of different tubes, leaving no sticky residue on the tube or nose after removal. The breathable fabric has a degree of stretch which allows it to better conform to the shape of the patient’s nose.

There is also a choice on application procedures. You may select the traditional approach that Dale customers have adhered to for years, or try a new method that was recommended by RUSH University Medical Center after months of clinical testing. Both methods work exceptionally well
