This pouching system is designed for small infants. The skin barrier and pouch are separate and need to be assembled to be used as a one-piece pouching system. The SoftFlex™ barrier is a standard wear skin barrier that is gentle to the skin. The pouch has a drain tap at the bottom which is compatible with a Luer-Lock syringe, which makes emptying easier when drainage is liquid. The bottom of the pouch may be cut off and a soft wire closure can be added at the bottom.

Cymed Two-Piece Cut-to-fit MicroSkin® Adhesive Barrier with 6mm Thick MicroDerm™ Washer cut-to-fit Stoma Opening, Transparent, Durable, Breathable, Waterproof.

MicroSkin® is used in all Cymed pouching systems. It is a transparent, hypoallergenic polyurethane film. MicroSkin® offers a level of comfort and security unmatched by any other product on the market.

With SenSura Mio Click closed, the baseplate with the elastic adhesive is separate from the pouch, so the pouch can be changed without changing the baseplate. The pouch is coupled to the baseplate by means of the new Click coupling, which gives an audible “click” when the pouch is securely locked to the baseplate. SenSura Mio Click closed is available in a broad range of flat baseplates consisting of various pre-cut or cut-to-fit sizes which can be customized, and with transparent or neutral grey pouches in a variety of sizes, and coupling systems of 40, 50, 60 or 70 mm in diameter.

The pouch is attached securely to the baseplate by a mechanical coupling system. An audible ‘click’ confirms that the pouch is locked securely to the baseplate.

Before the pouch is locked into position, it can be rotated into the desired position, without the pouch having to be removed from the baseplate.

The pouch can be removed separately from the SenSura double-layer baseplate, allowing the pouch to be changed more frequently than the adhesive baseplate.

Convex Light, for stomas that are difficult to manage

SenSura baseplates are available in Convex Light. The oval shape of the Convex Light baseplate is designed to help a stoma that is difficult to manage, for example, a stoma that is flush, retracted, or located in a skin fold. It applies light and directed pressure on the peristomal skin to reduce the risk of leakage by allowing the stoma to protrude. Ask your enterostomal therapy nurse for more information about Convex Light.

The CeraPlus skin barrier with Remois technology is infused with ceramide. Ceramide is a natural component of human skin that helps prevent water loss that can lead to skin dryness and damage. It is designed to maintain adhesive properties and features a formulation to help protect the skin's natural moisture barrier and help maintain good peristomal skin health from day one.

The flexible design may help provide gentle pressure around the stoma to help obtain the right fit and conform to uneven skin surfaces.

The adhesive border may help provide peace of mind and increase confidence in patients with skin creases and varying topography.
