3M 8210, N95 respirator is designed for use for particles such as those from grinding, sanding, sweeping, sawing, bagging, or other dusty operations. This respirator can also help reduce inhalation exposures to certain airborne biological particles (examples: mold, Bacillus anthracis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis), but cannot eliminate the risk of contracting infection, illness, or disease.

During the public health emergency of the COVID-19 pandemic, these standard N95 “industrial” respirators may be used by healthcare professionals according to the U.S. FDA’s Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). 3M™ Particulate Respirator 8210 is not cleared by the U.S. FDA as a surgical mask, a surgical mask and is not considered fluid-resistant, therefore a face shield must be worn during use.

The model 9500-N95S is a NIOSH-approved respirator. This respirator is also cleared by FDA for surgical use. The quality certificate inside the box may display non-medical on it, but that is due to the regulations of the origin country (NIOSH approval number: 84A-5411).
