How to Apply Medline Foley Catheter Securement Device

• After the Foley catheter has been inserted, attach the securement device to the sample access port on the drain bag tubing. To do so, lift hook and loop straps and position the sample access port on the tubing along the foam strip.
• Secure the straps over the access port on the drain bag tubing.
• Cleanse and degrease the skin with Isopropyl alcohol prep pad allow 10 seconds to dry.
• Apply SurePrep skin protective barrier to the securement site in the direction of hair growth - allow approximately 1-2 minutes to completely dry.
• Remove backing from securement device and affix to the patients skin.
• Non-sterile
